Successfactors LMS : Overdue learning notification

A user, has been receiving email notifications from the LMS that state he needs to complete a course. However, he has already completed the course, as is reflected in users learning history. User no longer has the course in  assignments, so I’m not sure what would cause to be picked up in the notification email.

@DivyaDokuru, different causes can lead to this situation. These are some points to be checked: (1) Is the email address part of another user profile in the same environment? | (2) Is the email coming from another environment, where the user has the email address set and notifications are active? | (3) Is the user a manager? The notification might be actually addressed to one of the subordinates (Creating Prompt for Users to Complete Courses That Are Near the Due Date | KBA 2642351). | (4) Is the notification customized? Sometimes, custom notifications are incorrect and the data comes mixed up. One user might see data in the notification that doesn't belong to her/his learning plan.

Hi @Divya

it’s possible that these reminder notifications are coming from a different SAP SuccessFactors Learning environment (such as TEST, STG, or DEV) if that system:

Has Email Notifications enabled
Contains a copy of your production data from a recent refresh
Still has the job scheduler running for the notification templates

This can happen more often than you’d think — especially right after a refresh from PROD to TEST/DEV — because:
Your TEST/DEV environment will now contain real email addresses from PROD.
Scheduled jobs, including Item Required Soon, Item Past Due, Curriculum Required Soon, etc., may still be active.
Unless email sending is disabled, those systems can send “fake” or outdated reminders to actual users.
