SuccessFactors Learning LMS user data import file on SFTP or direct via using an API (OAuth)

Hi,

We are implementing SuccessFactors LMS so need to integrate user data from EC to LMS. While our vendor recommends dropping a file from EC to the SFTP so that the LMS connector can import into LMS and is one of SAP’s recommended solutions it seems. Is this the only way to be implemented or is there any optimized way or solution to import employee data from EC to LMS.

Since EC is within Platform there is always the use of the employee export & live profile export as the recommended option or the Integration Center export, but since the LMS resides on a different application stack & server & DB, API options would not be suitable for large data syncs between them but rather just for single user data changes or creations within platform.
