Hi all,
we are initially deplyoment a 3 environment SF landscape. This came pre-bundled with one IAS DEV Tenant and re-used two other existing IAS tenants. So our setup is as such
Now our implementation partner advises on provisioning of users from SF to IAS.
Is it really needed to have users synced from SF to IAS? I see it seems mandatory to some extend when a use case is People Analytics. However, there ought to be also some old school Sync using OData which functions directly between SF and PA?
Any clarficiation or confirmation would be nice.
Jens

Hi @JaySchwendemann , hope you're doing good.
IAS is currently a prerequisite for People Analytics, as you can see on below SAP Helo Official documentation:
Enabling Stories in People Analytics
I have not found any information about synchronization between SF and PA using other alternatives which can bypass IAS enablement. In general, Customers without IAS enabled, or with incorrect user synchronization configuration between IAS and SF will have People Analytics activation issues.
Hope that above information can help you with your doubt.
Regards.
