SuccessFactors - Default Locale

Dear Experts,

We have a business rule in place that generates the Login Language based on the Native Language of the employee. The Login Language is synched to the Default Language field via HRIS sync.

If an employee´s native language is German, the Login Language and Default Language is automatically German. If the employee wants to use the system in English, they can change the language through the settings. But as we have an HRIS sync in place that syncs the Login language every day to the Default Language, the employee´s setting is always overwritten.
How do you cope with the Default Locale for your employees? We want to support our employees to populate the system language based on their native language but they should have the choice to change the language settings without having it overwritten every day.

The HRIS synch for that person will only run when they data is updated, it shouldn't update it everyday.

So in your example they should remain as English until someone changes personalinfo.

Hi nathanwilkinson ,

Thank you for your feedback. I´m not sure that the HRIS synch runs for an employee only if there was a change in the personal info. A new colleague started at the Company last week and she set the system language through "System Settings -> Change Language" every day, and the HRIS synch set it back to the native language every day. She doesn´t have access to change her "Personal Information".
