Good afternoon,
We have recently implemented the SF LMS and I've been picking up on issues along the way (project manager left halfway through and I inherited the project with very little training/experience)
It appears that if you make a change to the rules of an Assignment profile that any items that were previously linked to the assignment profile will be re-assigned at the time the change is made. I'm now assuming that "executing changes" causes this to happen. Is there a way to make a change to a rule (for example adding an additional job code attribute) without re-assigning all courses? ( I may be missing something really simple :))
Thanks!

Hi! We had the same issue mentioned by Crystal.
So, we had to take off re-assigns from whose had already finished those items.

Carina are you able to tell me how you did this?
Thanks!
Sure, steps in Learning Administration
1. Go to Manage User Learning ->Manage assignments
2. Select remove items in this case, next
3. At add users from list link, search them by "Completed items" criteria and Select all users
4. Finally you must indicate the item to be removed and run the job
I hope this helps, you can contact me again if you need.
I also have one question following this. It is possible to add a new attribute that is not in this attribute list of the assignment profiles rules ? If yes, how we can do this?

I will try to explain what's happening more clearly with an example.
On Day 1 - Item X is assigned to a group using an assignment profile that John Doe belongs to
User John Doe completes the required item on Day 2
On Day 3 a change is made to the assignment profile and "execute changes" is completed
New users who are now in the Assignment profile get assigned Item X - this is good! 🙂
John Doe even though he already completed Item X is re-assigned it to complete again - this is not good since he's already completed...

Which doesn't sound like it's behaving as it should per your response of already assigned people being "skipped".
Can you describe what you see as reassignment after making changes to assignment profile rules?
Execute Changes assigns based on the changed rules. Usually this is desired. After adding a job code to a rule you want people with that job code to be assigned.
The assignment profile mechanism keeps track of who has been previously assigned. The changes to an assignment profile are applied anyone previously assigned is skipped. Effectively, only new people meeting the assignment profile rules are assigned.
