Story reports and IAS in case of Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) SSO, with EP only

Hi all,

as IAS is a prerequisite for enable Story reports in People analytics, i wanted to know if this is possible to enable Sotry reports when there is a SSO Integration with Azure AD (as per the link here : Tutorial: Microsoft Entra integration with SAP Cloud Identity Services - Microsoft Entra | Microsoft...)?

In that case IAS will not store any user data as it will only act as a proxy (Azure ad will do the user management) while SAP documentation for Story reports says that "Note You can use Stories in People Analytics only after you sync users from SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite to SAP Analytics Cloud."

In this scenario, if my understanding is correct, Sync users from SF couldn't be done as no user data will be saved in IAS. So can we enable anyway the Story reports? Another element of context : my customer will only have EP, no Employee Central.

Hello Dimitar,

It is mandatory for users to be available in IAS > User Management, to use Story.

This means, you have to sync users to IAS & SAC using IPS.

Within IAS, you can route your SF login request via existing Azure SSO. However, when you navigate to Report Center, the SAC server will be validated against user availability in IAS > User Management.

To your other point of using only EP and not EC, that should not matter. You can enable Story for any of the existing domains and build reports. EC is not mandatory to use Stories in People Analytics.
