Story reporting - Last Trans Seq

Hi all,

I hope you can help me with an issue I'm encountering in a transfer report based on event reasons from the job information table.

I have some duplications in my story table due to the double use of an event reason. In the canvas report, I could use the field 'Last Trans Seq.' However, this field isn't available in the story report. How can I ensure that I have the last sequence in the report to avoid duplication in story reporting?

Example of the double event use

Hi Mirjam,

In Stories the filed is called different. It's called "Effective Latest Change" which will show a "Y" for the latest transaction in case there are multiple transactions on one day.

Hi, Jeroen. Unfortunately, this option won’t work because the purpose of the graph is to display only promotions. If I enable the option Y in the Graph, it will look all events reasons from the job information, which would exclude relevant data. The Promotion event is not always the last event.

Hi Mirjam,

Your question was about the Last Transaction Seq. In Story Reports this field is called Effective Latest Change and has exactly the same function as Last Transaction Seq in canvas Reporting.

In case you only want to capture Promotion Events then I suggest working with a Data Range filter and apply a filter on the Event = "Promotion". As an alternative you can create a change report where you focus for example on Pay Grade Change or an other field change that indicates that someone has been promoted.

Kind regards,

Jeroen
