Story report convert a date and time column to only display the date

Searching the list of functions https://help.sap.com/docs/successfactors-platform/story-reports/formula-functions-in-calculated-colu... I haven't found a way to convert a column that displays a datetime to only display a date.

I tried TODATE function (https://me.sap.com/notes/3139734/E) but its confusing some documentation says it requires a string and then another parameter. Others say if it's a datemine as the first parameter no second parameter is needed. 

for example this is the value of the Performance form - Form start date Jul 21, 2025 7:59:59 PM

When I try to use TODATE in a calculated column with the performance form start date I just get an error if I use one parameter and if I try two parameters it gives an error that it is not a string.
