I'm still getting my head around story reports so bear with me here.
If we create a dashboard for managers to see their teams info then thats easy, thats fine, I've no problems there.
However I'm trying to create story reports with summaries of information for the whole business for certain managers but when I share with the manager they can only see their direct team on the report instead of the whole company.
I was told to play with scope filtering but this doesn't seem to help. I don't know much about role based permissions etc and am not particularly techy so does anyone have any suggestions I can use to explain to the person in my team that does deal with SF permissions... that person doesn't have anything to do with Report Stories so I want to translate the issue into the right terminology for them.
Thanks

The managers (Line Manager LM) needing to see just their team data should be assigned one role based permission, those needing to see their team and complete company data (Group Manager - GM) are assigned two role based permissions (LM &GM). Create two copies of the report. Share one report to just the LM role and then share the other report with the (GM role) . The manager will need to log into the relevant report to see just their team data, or the other report for the complete data set. The Role permissions will take care of what they see.
You need two reports, as the managers with both sets of permissions will always see complete data, as this is the least restrictive permission.
If the GM managers are savvy users, you could create one report, assigned to both roles, as they could search for their team data.

Hello @LouLobWB - Please keep in mind, Story report honors Successfactors application granted permission. So the manager whom you want to see summary of the whole business should also see the data in BizX while they navigate to different screens. In other words, managers should have role-based permission access to view the data. With such permission set up, the manager when runs the story report, they will see all the data they have access to. I would recommend to seek help from SuccessFactors RBP expert.
