Standard Approval Workflow not triggering in SAP Erec

Hi All.

I am deploying the Erecruitment solution integrated with HCM ( same instance), Currently we are using EHP4 SP02 for Erecruitment along with NW7.02 SPS008 EP. I have activated the following business functions

HCM_MSS_ERC_CI_1-603

HCM_ESS_CI_1-603

HCM_ESS_CE-603

HCM_ERC_SES_1-603

HCM_ERC_CI_1-603

After creating requisition thru Recruiter login, when we try to release the request to any approver the expected workflow is not triggered.The Workflow WS51900008 getting trigered instead of WS51800008.We are using the WD application for creating the request.

Any advice on this behaviour of system

Hello Akash,

If you create and release a requisition in the recruiter role, no approving is needed. You have to start that either from a user only with the restricted recruiter role or as manager (in MSS).

I agree NIcole with the work around solution you provided.Baiscally the need is to use WDA for creating requisitions as Manager.And there are no WDA for managers( only MSS ,which again is in BSP ).

In my other post about workflow also,you replied that the workflow which is trigerring is of recruiter and not of Manager.

So what do you suggest ,for using the Recruiter WDA for creating Requisistion ( as Manager )subjected to proper approval worflow( Single stage Approval )

Your suggestions would be immensely appreciated.

Hello Akash,

If you want to integrate a manager in this scenario, you will have to use MSS but I am not quite sure I got your business process. Is the manager creating the request or approving it? If the latter, he/she needs to be the recruiter and the one sending it a restricted recruiter (who has no status changing authorization).

Let me explain you the process in brief.In our case ,the one who raises the reqisition requisition request ,we are calling him the manager and one who is supposed to approve it will be termed as Approver.

If we create request in WDA thru Restricted Recrutier role,how do we trigger approval workflow (so that the request can be approved by a definite approver.Selection of approver will be real time )

and the approving of the requisition can be found under:

Then you have also the possibility to create a requisition and forward it to someone who can release it afterwards - further information can be found under:

So these are the possibilites you have.
