Hi Jo,
There could be a range of things causing issues. This will be difficult to troubleshoot without more information, however, I would try the following to see if you can get your content recorded:
1. Trying running the application in a different browser; if you are in Edge, try Chrome, and vice versa
2. When recording the application, select the Quick Recording profile. This will mean that contextual information is not captured against your Simulations, however, this is not an issue because you will not be deploying the content through SAP Companion
3. Have IT confirm that the minimum requirements to use Producer are in place. It's unlikely to be this, given how long you have been using Producer, but whitelisting of IP addresses and adding the Enable Now URLs to the browser Trusted Sites can prevent some of these issues
4. Have someone from IT run a network sniffer, e.g. WireShark, to see if they can determine the cause of the issue. A number of different things could be blocking the recording process, including your virus scanner and your firewall
If all that fails, raise a ticket using the Component ID KM-SEN-PRO and get someone from support to take a closer look.
