Slow trainer

Hi,

Our trainer is working really slow. We are currently publishing a lot of content in our trainer due to our current IT transformation proces.

Any tips and tricks on how to make the trainer to work/load faster?

We reduced the number of obsolete book pages and are currently looking into the connection in our stores, but maybe we can do more.

Thanks!

Thomas

Hi Kristina,

Thank you!

It is time to clean up the unsorted folder ( 50 recordings).

Or files are normally referenced so I do not think that we have an issue there.

The trainer is usually slow when moving from one folder to another. We recently changed our tree structure and made the tree visible.

Hello Thomas,

maybe some suggestions to help you:

1. Try to reduce the number of objects in the "unsorted" folder. It sounds like you may have part of your tree or a lot of objects there. Try to clean that up and see if it helps. These objects are not indexed and can slow down the whole Manager considerably.

2. Check any large single files like images or videos. Try using a toolbox where all of these files are stored and then referenced and linked on the book pages or in the simulations. This will decrease the loading times for individual objects.

Maybe you can also describe at what point the trainer is slow? We have customers using tens of thousands of objects and it works fine, so maybe there's a specific file that slows your trainer down.

Hope this helps already and take care,

Kristina
