The project template for simulation in the toolbox is not capturing the right actions when recording:

1.When entering a field value, the recording comes up with a step for each character entered in the field.

2.When clicking on tabs, it does not capture the correct name of the tab. It captures an entire section.

3. Instructions in the bubble are not correct

How can the template be fixed?

Hello Marisa,

I think this is an issue with the application profile and not the project template. Can you please clarify:

- which application are you recording?

- if it is SAP GUI, have you activated the scripting (see instructions here)?

- which application profile is chosen when you record?

The project template is only a sample and is not connected to the quality of the recording.

Capturing a step per character instead of a string is a pretty clear indicator that you are using an incorrect profile. What application are you recording, and what profile is it using? Try using Standard (or Generic Web Application) instead. Also, if it is an SAP system check that scripts are enabled (including on the server for S/4HANA).

Thank you for your response Kristina and Dirk. The application is S/4 HANA with Fiori tiles. The profile is SAP UI5.

Hi Marisa,

are you using any Citrix or similar applications? Is the application opened in a browser?

Should be the correct profile. If this is for a specific app only please open up a support incident with the component KM-WPB-APR to have them check the profile. Please attach the recordings that show the faulty recognition.
