When I try to open a project in producer, it gives an error message that the project is locked for editing by my own ID. When I try to duplicate the project it saves in the unsorted folder. How do I access and make changes to these simulations?

Hi Sanchia,
When an author edits a content object in Producer or Manager, they take editing control of that object. In many instances, they also take editing control of the parent object being edited, which is likely a folder. As soon as authors finish making changes to an object, they must give back editing control, i.e. Finish Editing the object, and also the parent object. They should not retain editing control of objects that they are not editing because this prevents other authors from editing that content.
You will not be able to modify the existing Simulation or create new Simulations in the folder until that current author gives back editing control of those objects. Every author should do this every time.
If the author that has editing control of the Simulation and its parent folder is no longer available to give back editing control, an Administrator can cancel the current control that the author has over the objects. To do this, the Administrator must click on the folder object in Manager and select More > Cancel Editing All Objects. Be aware that this will result in the loss of the changes that have been made by the other author if those changes have not been synchronized to Manager.
Regards
Shane
