Sharing standalone E-Recruiting System with LSO, Portal, Content Managent System

Hi,

We are implementing E-Recruitment and LSO on EHP7.

Our initial proposed design is to have E-Recrutiment on a standalone model; with EREC on one instance, TREX on another separate instance and HCM on another instance.

Due to hardware issues, we are rethinking our options; checking the feasbility to have EREC + TREX + LSO + CONTENT MANAGEMENT+ SAP ENTERPIRSE PORTAL  in same instance.

Moreover we do not have a dedicated database system.

Is that a right approach ? Will that impact our E-Recruitment system in terms of peformance/search functionality?

If we are going to have LSO content management system in EREC Box, can that be used for storing EREC resumes too like a Data base system ?

What would be the best approach and risks involved if we have to execute these options.

Awaiting your inputs.

Best regards,

Paul.

Hi Paul,

The technical system overview of E-Recruiting can be seen here:

Technical System Landscape - SAP E-Recruiting - SAP Library

Which storage type you want to use for HR_KW_CONT you can choose and set in transaction OAC0. Usually it is stored automatically in "SAP System Database" which is stored on the WebAS.

Hi Nicole,

Thanks for your inputs. Our initial design was on EREC standalone model.

1. But to reinforce the query, can we club LSO, EREC, Trex, portal in one instance and Hcm in another instance.

Is it advisable to do as stated above?

2. Regardless of whether I have a dedicated storage location, you mean to say, all candidate resume, attachment documents will be stored in Sap database system by default.

Please add your views.

Regards,

Paul.

why do you want to seperate? It costs more and is less easy to setup.
