SF - Time Sheet - Recording of Allowances

Dear Community, 

I need your expertise. I have a question regarding time tracking in SuccessFactors. Is it possible to implement a restriction within the time sheet so that only one allowance of a particular allowance type can be recorded per day? I haven't found any way to configure this so far. 

Any hints or suggestions are highly appreciated.

Hi @cassiopeia I am attaching here the business rule I have which is working as expected, if I either add two records of one unit or one record of more than one unit on the same day.

Hope this helps somehow - also have in mind that in my vase, I am using an Allowance Type of Decimal Unit.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have exactly the same settings in my business rules but it doesn't work in my system. Also for the allowance type I am working with decimal numbers.

Maybe you can run a rule trace, to check if something else is going on?

Good Day @cassiopeia, Change your Business Rule from "Basic" Scenario to "Rules for MDF Based Objects" and check this again. In general, avoid creating Business Rules with the "Basic" Scenario from now on, SAP does not support them. Hope this helps!

The business rule scenario was already set up as you suggested. There must be another reason why the rule is not triggered correctly.

I have a few questions. Can we filter the Allowance by Time Type? Is it possible to send the Allowance to Time Collector? Is it possible to limit it to 3 allowances per week? Thanks
