Dear Community,
I need your expertise. I have a question regarding time tracking in SuccessFactors. Is it possible to implement a restriction within the time sheet so that only one allowance of a particular allowance type can be recorded per day? I haven't found any way to configure this so far.
Any hints or suggestions are highly appreciated.
Thank you & kind regards,
Alexandra

Hi,
yes this is possible with a normal business / save rule on the time sheet. I think you need the cardinality function, but anyway, it is possible.
You can´t do it with time valuation cause allowances are not processed via time valuation, but with the business rules it works.
Best regards
Volker

Hi Volker,
I was able to configure the business rule. However, it only works for the entire timesheet. I couldn’t find a way for the rule to check just a single day. Can you tell me if this is possible, or if only the entire timesheet or its period can be considered?
As always your help is very much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Alexandra
Hi Evangelina,
Thank you for your input which is highly appreciated.
My business rule is set up as mentioned by you. However the system only displays the error when there is second allowance entry on another day. It doesn't display it when I enter two allowances of the same type for the same day. It couldn't figure out a way to adjust the rule so that it also checks the date of the entry of the allowance.
Kind regards,
Alexandra
Hi Evangelina,
The reason why the suggested business rule is not working is the monthly time sheet the customer is working with. With monthly time sheets the cardinality function doesn't work. I haven't figured out a way to adjust the business rule that it covers both scenarios.
Just wanted to let you know and say Thank You again for your help.
Kind regards,
Alexandra
