SF - Time Off - Proxy Management for Managers

Dear Experts,

I would be interested in how you do it at your companies if a manager will go on long-term leave (e.g. 2 months vacation) what happens to the Time Off requests? A time admin is taking care of them or the managers give proxy rights to another manager via Proxy Management? At some companies normal users don´t have permissions to give proxy rights to someone else or Proxy Management is kind of forbidden due to data privacy. Can you share some use cases with me?

I would suggest using auto delegation functionality in SF. It will delegate all approvals to the chosen delegatee for a specific period of time. The manager who is going on leave can delegate before they go on leave. Again, it delegates all approvals to the person who has been assigned as a delegatee, not just time administration. Hope this helps
