SF Learning MS Teams VLS - Auto Attendance not working

Hi,

I am currently implementing the VLS integration with MS Teams. Everything is working fine except for the automatic attendance tracking. I have all 4 VLS fields set at the class level, see below:

I have scheduled the 'Process VLS Attendance' APM also, and get the following result:

Does anyone know why the history records are not getting added? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

 

The PA_VLE_ENROLL_SEAT table mentioned in the comments below, how and where did you retrive this? Were currently facing a similar problem.

Thanks for your reply. We are not using SAP Litmos - is this KBA only relevant for Litmos?

Dear jd2006,

I thought you were using Litmos, sorry my mistake. In our guide we describe about the necessary call that needs to be done to record the attendance. Can you please check this page and see if you already have this?

What is the trigger for the GET request? Is it the APM or is there something else we need to do to trigger the request?

Yes, there is the "VLS Attendance Processing APM". Do you have it scheduled?

It seems to be a configuration issue, let me start by asking about those 4 fields below set up, did you have it in your class?

If so, what is your class "Minimum Percentage Attendance for Credit"'

Did the learners reached that?

Yes I have all 4 fields set up, with minimum percentage at 1%, so learners reached it.

Dear jd2006,

Ok, next could be that when the APM runs the attendance record has not been published by the VLS vendor. This can be checked in the PA_VLE_ENROLL_SEAT table, column ENROLL_STATUS is ‘READY’. It would be ‘PENDING’ if the APM was still pending the Attendance file from the VLS. In case you cannot check this, I would recommend you to request to the support team.

Hi Karen,

There is no data in the table PA_VLE_ENROLL_SEAT. However, the ATTENDANCE_STATUS in table PA_VLE_EVENT is pending.

Dear jd2006,

There it is!. I would recommend you to talk to the vendor (MS) to check about the Attendance file failure. Maybe there are more settings from their side that is missing.
