For one of our Compensation Planning processes, we are using the Second Manager Hierarchy. In the Executive Review, with the Standard Filters, it is possible to filter by Team View (Second Manager). There could be cases where this is not reflecting the Form View (e.g. if a Second Manager has been updated, but the employee has not been moved from one form to the other).
Therefore, we are thinking of activating the form view under Advanced Settings, which will disable the team view. In a KBA ("2084808 - Executive Review - Enable form view (This will disable team view) - Compensation"), it says that this is not a recommended option for clients.
Do you know why is this stated? What are the downsides of this option respectively what do we have to be aware of?

After review with our product team we are in the process of updating this KBA to remove the sentence stating that this is not recommended for customers. If you think the customer use case can be handled using form view, then there is no reason why you shouldn't use it.
We are also updating the steps to activate it under Resolution since it can be done directly at the template level under Plan Setup> Advanced Settings.
The change should be active within the next few days.
