Hi All,
I am having difficulties in separating learning expiry notification for line manager and employee and would like to check anyone had this issue and how you resolved it.
The default SAP setting shows generic information about the user and the course detail.
<QUAL_STUD_NAME/>; ID: <QUAL_STUD_ID/> - has a requirement for item <QUAL_CPNT_TYPE_ID/>, <QUAL_CPNT_ID/>, <QUAL_CPNT_REV_NUM/>, <QUAL_CPNT_REV_DATE/>, (<QUAL_CPNT_TITLE/>) for Curriculum <CPNT_QUAL_ID/> (<CPNT_QUAL_TITLE/>) due on <QUAL_CPNT_DUE_DATE/>
<FLOATING_STUD_NAME/>; ID: <FLOATING_STUD_ID/> - has a requirement for item <FLOATING_CPNT_TYPE_ID/>, <FLOATING_CPNT_ID/>, <FLOATING_CPNT_REV_NUM/>, <FLOATING_CPNT_REV_DATE/>, (<FLOATING_CPNT_TITLE/>) due on <FLOATING_CPNT_DUE_DATE/>
<PROGRAM_STUD_NAME/>; ID: <PROGRAM_STUD_ID/> - has a requirement for program <PROGRAM_ID/>, <PROGRAM_TITLE/> due on <PROGRAM_DUE_DATE/>
<REQ_STUD_NAME/>; ID: <REQ_STUD_ID/> - has a requirement for requirement <REQ_ID/>, <REQ_TYPE_LABEL/> for curriculum <REQ_QUAL_ID/> (<REQ_QUAL_TITLE/>) due on <REQ_DUE_DATE/>
We see that this is too generic and would like to have more personal touch by showing employee's name and/or Manager's name. But what I have seen so far is that when we enter employee's name in the email (Dear < QUAL_STUD_NAME/>), the email is sent to employee but the same email is also sent to the Manager. From Manager's point of view, this is not right since the email is addressed to 'Manager' (not cced) but the email body is addressing Employee name. If the email is sent to employee and the Manager is cced in that email, that makes sense but current system is sending each email to employee and the manager.
If anyone experienced this and created your custom template to avoid such issue, could you be able to share the format with me so that I can reference that and create our own template?
Kind Regards,
Joe Cho
