Sending Photos uploaded by the new hire to the Security team in different locations

New hires need to upload the photos that will be used for creating their Security Badge.

In ONB 1.0, the system is able to send the photo that was uploaded by the new hire and send it to the respective Security team based on the location.

In ONB 2.0, new hires are able to upload their photos during additional data collection step. However, the photo has to be manually downloaded by HR Business Team and then manually sent to the respective Security team.

This change is seen as a regression for the HR Business Team, resulting in increased manual work.

  1. Are there any possible solution for sending photos to different Security Teams based on the new hire’s site location?

Step1: Please create a custom task for the candidate to add profile photo add the deep link to the /sf/onboarding2/completeprofile, so he will upload the pic of the candidate.

Step 2: Use the below blog to create a report on the profile pic and can download the report with hiring dates and share to security team or else security team can have access to the story report as well

I was informed that: Retrieving or uploading profile photos via the SuccessFactors API is not supported for external/onboarding users before their start date. At this stage (after Personal Data Collection and before the Date of Joining), the user is considered an external user in the system. Once the employee’s start date is reached and the user becomes an internal/active employee, the API will function as expected for both retrieving and uploading profile photos. From <https://me.sap.com/notes/3707989/E> Are these API limitations the same when using Story reports? I would have thought so because Story reporting is using same tables/entities as APIs...
