Hi,

Currently we do not grant externals acess to our Infocenter but we need to send a external consultant one of the recordings from the info enter. Is that possible?
we sometimes do it with the PDF outputs, but never tried it with recordings and simulations.

best regards,

Thomas Nakai

Hi thomasbjoernholdt,

Yes, it's possible. Just create an account for this external consultant in your SAP Enable Now Manager, and then send him a proper URL to the simulation(s).

You can also export the content from your Manager in .exe or .html format using Producer. However, I would use the first option with providing access to your SAP Enable Now system, as after content is exported you won't be able to control its consumption.

anton.mavrin Would standard publish to a file structure be a possibility? Downside, its a lot of files probably and depending on virus software/rules could be an issue for the receiver.

Hi wallace.henry,

Will work as well, but downsides you rightly mentioned outweight any benefits. From the license agreement perspective, users who consume content that is exported (SCORM, exe, HTML, etc.) still require SAP Enable Now license.

Summary: If SAP Enable license is still required, why do I need to do endless manipulations by exporting content every time it's being updated rather then providing direct access using the permanent URL?

Hi anton.mavrin ,

Thank you. We ended up on a primitive solution where we just recorded the recording using SnagIt and sent it to the consultant.

Same outcome, but the consultant could then just receive a mp4 file.

Best regards,

Thomas

Enable Now can also convert simulations in MP4, btw.
