Select historical date range in a story

Hi

Just wondering if there is a way of selecting an historical date range in a story? You seem to only be able to select a range for so many days/months back to days/months forward. What if it’s November and I want to select a Date Completed range from September to October. Is that not possible?

I know stories are supposed to be a snapshot in time as of now but stories are supposed to be replacing canvas reports so stories should have some functionality similar to canvas. Because of the limit of 1 million cells in a story, you may have to select a small date range so you can export the data, and then select another small date range and export that. I know we are to discourage data export but some processes require it and if we can’t do it, it’s going to cause real issues.

You should be able to created a date range for your data based on the effective start date and effective end date within Job Information.  That's what we did for reviewing termination data.  You set the filter in the story.

Hi. Thanks for the response. I've figured it out. It was how to get that date selection so you could put individual dates in their. For anyone else wanting to know its:- Create your Input Control. Select your field (mine was Completed date). Select Filter by Range. Type is Fixed. Then select the maximum date range you might want to use in the Story. Then select Ok. Then adjust date range to desired range for the default. Done. Thanks
