Search and Classif Trex for E-Recruiting

Dear Experts,

We are Having Installed EHP6 IDES System for E-recruiting( SAP HR System ).But the requirement is to have Search and classif Trex system for E-recruiting.

My question is do we have to install new TREX system based on AS Java are can we apply the patch trex 7.10 (SAR File )on our existing EP 7.3 system and connect Abap engine EHP6 IDEX system.

Please Guru's help me out here for resolving the same.One more doubt is there any requirement of MS IIS server to be enabled at TREX system

Dear,

the TREX is normally a separate server which is connected to SAP but requires neither Portal or SAP installation on the very same machine.

You can connect e-recruiting to the TREX which is used in Portal but you should install a new ones as SAP says that there should be one separate TREX machine for each scenario.
