Hi there,
I have an issue where a published SCORM package when view in SCORM CLOUD is not showing completed when I use the navigation bar at the top of the screen, but does show completed when using the course menu down the side of the screen.
The course is only made up of one book and three book pages, this is in a new Workarea.
I have gone through the documentation and Questions on here to check my Tracking (General) and Tracking (SCORM) are correct and everything appears to be in order.
I opened a case with SCORM Cloud and they informed me that the Navigation does not appear to be working correctly.
I have used the Debug feature and although I am not an expert at reading these it appears to show all pages are completed.
Does anyone have an ideas how I can fault find and resolve this issue.
Thanks
L

Hi Shane,
We conducted another test and just published a simulation to a SCORM package and that completed correctly, we then added this to a Book Page within a Book and this time it failed.
The issue has something to do with the Navigation within the Book not being tracked, or this is the assumption I have come to, but I am just not sure what the resolution would be.

Laurie

Hi Shane,
I have checked the debug windows of both the courses I have looked at, my plain three pages within a book and the two Page one within a book that calls out to a Practice mode, and neither of them have track_completion: true in the debug window, in fact they do not have track_completion at all.
I have also run SCORM Cloud in Internet Explorer (as a test) and the three-page course tracks all pages being visited but again does not track a completion. The two-page course with the Practice mode tracks the same as in Chromium and records a 32.67% Score but is not completed.

Hi Laurie,
10.4.4 is from May 2020 so it is not really old so I don't think that the issue with the version. It could be a browser-related issue.
In the Debug window, are there any entries that say track_completion: true in the right side and completed: false at the top?
I notice that you have linked to a Practice mode Simulation but you mention Demo mode. Are you tracking both modes? If so, is there some way for the users to launch both modes?

Hi Laurie,
OK, I can see in the first Debug window that the course is marked as complete and in the second it is indicating that you have visited only 1 of the 3 pages, i.e. 33% complete. I have no issue getting content to be marked as complete in SCORM Cloud so our issue must be one of several other options:
1. Are you using Enable Now Cloud or On Premise? If On Premise, what version are you on?
2. Have you implemented all of the browser requirements to use Enable Now, e.g. allowing Cookies and Javascript for the Enable Now URL? You can access the requirements here. Please take a look at section 2 of this document
3. What browser are you using?
I don't think we have an issue with settings because I can see from the Debug window that the correct content is being tracked.

Hi Laurie,
There are a number of different factors that impact whether your content will show as complete in an LMS, like SCORM Cloud. These include:
1. The Workarea settings - located in Resources > Adaptable Resources > Playback Settings. In your instance, you mention that your course only has book pages so your settings should look like:
2. The settings that you choose when publishing the SCORM content. Please make sure that you select the correct set of Playback Settings, the settings that you updated in step 1

3. Ensure that your specific course sends completion information

Outside the details above, are there any links on your book pages? If there are, what are you linking to?
If the items above do not resolve your issue, please attach an image of the top of the Debug window so I can see what Enable Now thinks needs to be completed to complete your course.

Hi Shane,
When comparing my setting to yours they were very similar, the only difference being was that the "close playback window on Mode Exit" was not checked, I have checked this now and still I am not getting a completion.
Below is the top of the debug window, after I have run through the course.
The course that I am working with, is just three blank pages within a book and that is all that is within the Workarea.

Within SCORM cloud, if I use the top navigation pages I do not get a completion but if I use the highlighted options to Navigate with I get a completion

I should say this is a test to get the completion working, as I have an issue with larger courses within a full blown LMS not completing.

Hi Shane,
I have compare my settings to your and they look more or less the same. The only difference being the "Close Playback Window on Mode Exit" was not set, but having set this and run the course again it does not make any difference, in fact where I could get the course to complete using the side navigation I can no longer achieve that.

Below is the top screen shot of the Tracking Debug screen, which was taken one the course was completed

The course structure is just one Book and three Book Pages which no links, this is all in a brand new Workarea.

The initial problem was experienced in a larger course in a full blown LMS but I thought I would strip away everything and start from scratch to resolve the issue, hence why I am using SCORM Cloud and a very simple structure.
Regards
Laurie
