Can content such as Videos and PDFs can be stored within the Enable Now Platform?
We don't have Enable Now, however we are considering it.

Hi Sarah,
Yes existing content, such as PDF documents and videos, can be loaded into Enable Now and distributed by Enable Now. When loading the content into Enable Now you have two choices:
1. Load them as non-native Enable Now objects and you will then get a URL for each object that you can provide to your user based to access the corresponding content
2. Load them as Enable Now Media Objects. This puts a wrapper around the content objects, e.g. PDF documents, so that the content can be deployed in other ways, e.g. deployed through the in application help system in S/4HANA, Ariba, or SuccessFactors.
So, the simple answer is yes. The long answer is it may be best to load the content as Media Objects so it can be deployed through more mechanisms but it either way it can be loaded and deployed.
Regards
Shane

Usually I load .mp4 files as Media Objects, because it lets me move it anywhere in the workarea tree without breaking links, and it also displays in the Library tree as its own object. Usually I have no trouble loading .mp4 files up to 1 GB in size, but beyond that, I tend to get the typical timeout error described in SAP KBA 2390539 (httpEndRequest Failed - System Error: the operation timed out (12002). To avoid that, I always make sure my file size is < 1 GB, because I don't like fiddling with my Registry (and having to do it again every time the PC is imaged or replaced). This week, I had a customer trying to load a >5 GB file, and she was trying to load it remotely through VPN, and of course it was timing out. Rather than have her adjust her Windows Registry settings to try to resolve the timeout error, I suggested using TechSmith SnagIt (or some other editor) to slice the .mp4 into chunks of <1 GB. That should make it easier to load into SEN, and it should make it more manageable for the end user to play. Are there any other best practices you would suggest?
If you're loading a lot of .MP4s (always as Media Objects!) I'd strongly suggest using Book Reader Templates to launch them. Saves a bunch of time vs. creating 'launcher pages' for them all.
