SAP SuccessFactors Preview vs Production Environment

Please tell me the difference between SAP SuccessFactors Preview and Production Environments. When you first implement a SAP SuccessFactors PMGM project then from which environment will you start from? either test/preview or production? If I start from preview system then how will I migrate all the configurations and user data from test/preview to production system?

Hello Asif,

You start by configuring the test environment (instance and provisioning). After the configuration has been completed and tested (all tests passed) you migrate all in the production environment. You export the xml files(e.g. performance forms xml) from test provisioning and import them to production (be aware to check again the permissions if they were imported correctly). There are some features that you need to build from scratch in production.

I haven't tried it but maybe it will work for you. So, proceed with caution 🙂
