SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 2.0 integration for Back Ground verification with third party Agency

Hi ,

Can anyone help me in understanding from the feasibility point if third part integration(back ground check for candidate) is possible from Onboarding 2.0 ?

The requirement is to send the data through CPI after Personal data collection step is completed and once the background verification is completed in thirty party system , then we need to capture the responses back from third party to Onboarding .

Is the above the requirement is feasible once the candidate is hired in EC?

The responses for BGV from third party agency should be in form of field attributes like candidate have not started updating BGV details or awaiting or In Progress or Final Audit , so are these feasible in EC end before hiring or how after hiring ?

You may please take the BGV inputs into candidate application and fetch data from onboarding.

Hi Ankita,

SuccessFactors process flow expects to have background checks occur during the recruiting process, there is a out-of-the-box background check integration option within the recruiting module. I would not recommend attempting to create custom onboarding MDFs to integrate with a background check vendor as monitoring/administration would not be user-friendly in SF. I think it would be possible to update the custom object via CPI, but it would not be visible to onboarding admins on the dashboard.

Hi Angie,

Thanks for your quick response, really appreciate it .

But need a bit more understanding on above queries , say if we use custom object in Personal data collection(create certain fields applicable for agency statuses like field attributes pending status etc ) and update via CPI then is it possible receive mails in ONboarding (Email services) and reporting is possible on the custom fields ?
