Hi,

I would like to know, what is the best practice suggested by SAP to incorporate different organization structure for multiple legal entities in one instance.

For Example:

1. Legal Entity 1 wants their structure to be like this: Legal Entity -> Business Unit -> Division -> Department.

2. Legal Entity 2 wants their structure to be like this: Legal Entity -> Business Unit -> Department.

Legal Entity 2 do not want to use Division.

Please let me know, what is the best practice suggested in this case?

What will be its impact on the system where associations are used, such as:

1. Associations defined between these objects

2. Organization related field in position object

3. Organization related fields in job information

4. Organization related fields in job requisition.

5. Any impact in Payroll replication in case of ECP.

Kind Regards

Hi Latesh,

In this scenario, I believe these are two options:

  • Use a different "Department" objects for each Legal Entity. LE A's department can relate directly to the BU, while LE B's department would be associated with the division.
  • For the LE that doesn't need the Division object, create their division objects to essentially be duplicates of their BU object to fit within the BU->Division->Department relationship structure.

Best regards,

Angie

Thanks for your answer, I think 2nd option is better approach.
