SAP SUCCESSFACTORS how to check the workflow status into a business rule

Hello gurus,

i need to change a field value on a custom MDF when the workflow status is not PENDING.

I thought to use a business rule, but looks like it is not possible.

Any ideas?

Hi Patrizia,

Please note workflow status cannot be changed for custom MDF object using business rule. Though would want to understand below before I answer the stated query,

1. What is the workflow status at time of editing

2. User is trying to add field using which page / action in Successfactors

3. Let me know if you see any error while trying to edit data.

Please note if object has been configured with pending data as yes this would not allow you to edit the submitted data until approved. I would wait for your response to assist further.

You cant change the Workflow status using business rule. How ever you can use the Auto approval functionality , if you want to change the status of workflow automativally .

But if you are looking to change the status text ' PENDING', the you can look for 3-Tier language transalation feature.
