SAP LMS - Concurrent Employment - User Merge

Hi Community,

I have a question regarding the recent 2H2025 release notes and how they relate to concurrent employment scenarios in SAP SuccessFactors Learning (LMS). From what I understand, users with multiple User IDs (due to concurrent employment) will now be identifiable across LMS user records, and they will be able to see assignments linked to their different employments.

My main question concerns the user merge functionality:

  • In the past, each employment (and corresponding User ID) resulted in a separate LMS user account. Will this still be the case after the 2H2025 release?
  • If so, it seems possible to merge these users manually. However, when the SF User Connector runs again, will this process undo or overwrite the user merge that was performed?

I’d really appreciate clarification on how this update affects existing concurrent employment setups and whether any configuration changes are needed to ensure merged user records remain consistent after synchronization.
