SAP HR - ABAP Best practices

Dear all,

I will to set up iDoc HRMD_A0* between 2 SAP systems. i discover SAP HR.

We will reuse existing code and I saw that previous developer used directly instruction INSERT / DELETE FROM pa0001 several times.

I am afraid to see this but after searching I don't see a short treatment in different BAPIs or FM. Function module seem to have a lot treatment inside. In case of large volume of data I would be afraid that program will be low.

What do you mean of using this and what would be the best practice regarding to efficiency?
