SAP GUI: Recordings not working

Hello everyone

I have an issue with recordings in SAP GUI.

I was able to activate scripting in SAP GUI server-sided (Transaction Rz11). After that I also logged out and logged in again.

I also set the corresponding settings in the Customize local layout area under accessibility & scripting.

But unfortunately it doesn´t work out although the icon at the bottom tells me that "scripting is executed".

What can be the reason for that? And what am I missing here? Thanks in Advance.

So it's just not pointing to the correct objects on the screen? It's identifying them OK, though? That's probably not a scripting issue. (For SAPGui a scripting error usually results in a message of "A script is attempting to access SAP GUI".)

Check your screen DPI settings (Scale and Layout in Windows settings) in case that is throwing things out. Make sure the DPI Scaling in the simulation is the same as your PC. (It should re-scale OK, but I prefer to make sure it is always 100%...avoids potential problems).

If that's not it, check your Recording Profile (although if it is capturing object info OK that's probably not the issue.)

I already set the screen DPI settings under scale and layout in the display settings to 100 %. The recording Profile is SAP GUI Signature. However I tried again today and now it is working.

The problem yesterday was if I started the recordings in SAP GUI and clicked on a tab, for example, the system did not react as it should and the cursor moved in a different direction. I don´t know why it was performing like that.

Maybe you should restart everything before you start the recordings. I often have this problem if i apply some settings or add ons like the Enablement Assistant for edge and chrome the producer is not recognizing it the first time. I even had to restart my laptop and after that everything worked out.
