SAP GUI recording differences ME21N (PO creation) and ME51N (PR creation) in SAP Enable Now

Hi all,

we face differences in recording and object recognition between PO creation (ME21N) and PR creation (ME51N) with SAP GUI recording.

While PO creation works fine (e.g. input value for accounting assignment type A or short text, etc.) is recognized and recorded fine (e.g. input text macro: attribute demo text: "K is now entered into A box"). Also the Input Text attribute is recognized correctly (in this case we enter "K").

We face the issue that this is not working identical in PR creation (T-Code: ME51N)
Here we have the issue that the input text: attribute Demo Text says "The A field is cleared"
also the attribute Input Text (in input text macro) is not recognized/recorded at all.

Any idea what the problem is?

P.S. we are on SAP S/4HANA 1909 on premise with SAP GUI 7.60 and SAP Enable Now in Cloud
Enable Now Recording Profiles (e.g. Signature) and SAP GUI Themes (e.g. Signature) are matching
All pre-requisites from producer manual for SAP GUI recording were adjusted

Hello Kristina,

We have the same problem, too. But not with MM but with SD transactions.

While entering the sales organization, the recording says "Das Feld wird geleert". The same when entering the customer number.

We are also working with SAP GUI 7.60 but SAP ECC.

Could you help us to solve this issue?

I'm not sure that this will help but there is a support ticket available that discusses issues with recording SAP GUI. Maybe also take a look at this and see if this offers any answers. You can access the ticket at https://launchpad.support.sap.com/services/pdf/notes/2177815/E.

thanks for the hint - but we followed all the described steps to resolve.
The tips of the ticket are also described in the SAP Enable Now InfoCenter.

But our problem still exists.

Hello Boris,

it looks like the Producer does not recognize the input field correctly as a text input field. Or only partially. This is probably an issue with the recording profile.

Please open up a support incident with the component KM-WPB-APR.

They need to analyze the objects in this transaction and check the profile.
