SAP EnableNow is not allowing to capture matchcode and search icons next to a field

Hello there,

I am creating a web assistant in SAP EnableNow. I need to capture the matchcode or search icon next to a field. These icons are displayed when I click inside a field. But, when I click +, these icons disappear. Looking forward to your suggestions.

Thanks,
Mandeep

Not sure exactly what you are doing, but I'd guess it is when you are performing the hotspot assignment? If so, you can press SHIFT+A to postpone hotspot selection until AFTER the next action. Which will allow you to click inside the field to display the icon, and then click on the icon to assign the hotspot to it.

Hello Dirk, thanks for your response. I tried this suggestion before putting the question, but failed. I assign hotspot, press Shift and A keys and assignment pauses. When I click inside the field and then click the icon for assigning a hotspot, hotspot is not assigned.

When you click in the field (after pausing hotspot assignment) does it give you the cross-hair cursor? What do you see when you hover this over the icon? Does it show the highlight? Press i on the keyboard before you click on the icon, and check the recognition information at the bottom of the screen - what does that show? Are all the fields blank?

Also, what system is this? S/4, C4C...?

Hello Dirk,

Pressing the scroll wheel at the middle of the laptop mouse allowed me to select a hotspot.

Thanks,
Mandeep

Hey, Mandeep. Thanks for posting the solution. Interesting, as the ability to use the 'center' mouse button to postpone assignment of a hotspot was added recently, and should do the same as pressing SHIFT+A. I hadn't realized that clicking the mousewheel down is interpreted as clicking the 'center' button. Thanks for the info!
