Good day!

I have installed producer and created special workarea for new projects. In settings inside producer I created separated style for pages (for demo creations), but I couldn't find settings to change intro page's style, only two standard variants, is it possible to create own style for intro page, or only standard variants is available in this situation?

Thanks for reply

Hi Sofia,

as Dirk and Anton mentioned, the intro pages you are probably using are old styles. Please switch to book pages (see Infocenter on Start and End Pages for Projects).

For these old intro pages we only had two standard styles available.

Please mark this question as answered if it helped.

Take care,

Kristina

What do you mean by 'intro page'? Either way, it is all just Book Pages, and you can create as many Book Page Templates as you like, for whatever purposes you need, and looking exactly the way you want them to. See the video Building Book Page Templates for more info, or the Producer Manual. Also be aware of the library Autostart property, in case that's what you mean by 'index page'.

Intro page, I mean first slide when you switch on the video. I would like to create my own style but in settings is possible to choose one of two variants.

Ohhhhh, you mean the Start Page in a simulation. Yeah, no, I never use them because they are limited and pretty ugly. There are two better options:

  1. Use a Book Page as the first 'Step' in the simulation. You can then create this to look exactly the way you want.
  2. In your first Step, insert a 'screenshot' that contains an image you want to use as the background (or have a blank screenshot and insert a full-screen image over this), and then add shapes, text boxes, and images to this as necessary. (This is the method I use most).

In either case, you'll want to create a 'Simulation Template' that has all of this stuff in it (also think about an 'End' page) and then always create simulations from this.

Totally agree with Dirk. Please never use this Intro Pages and Intro Pages Start Link macros, but book pages.

Because of some (SAP WPB, probably) customers are still using that Intro Pages/StartLink macros, we can't sunset them 😞 ..
