Dear SAP Community,
We are looking to implement SAP Enable Now 2011 on-premise edition, and we have some questions about the Manager implementation (under HANA DB).
We would like to install the Manager in our AWS account since we have a "Cloud First" approach. When checking both the AWS documentation and the SAP Notes, I find no documentation about this kind of installation, so we were wondering if the installation of the SAP Enable Now Manager on an external Cloud Provider (AWS in our case) was supported by SAP ? And if yes, does anyone have some experience to share ?
I guess one would advise us to go for the Enable Now Cloud Edition, but this versions runs on SCP and we don't plan to subscribe to it for now.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Thomas

Hi thomas_mns,
Will work OK on AWS infrastructure as an On-Premise installation once you provide it with the supported components listed in the System Requirements guide on help.sap.com. I mean HANA DB version, Apache Tomcat version etc.
Best, Anton

I would suggest going to the help.sap.com site and looking for SAP Enable Now.
SAP Enable Now - SAP Help Portal
The guide you will have to use is the SAP Enable Now HANA On-Prem guide.
To SAP this will be treated as an on-prem install in your hosted cloud environment.
Hope that helps,
Jesse

Hello Jesse,
Thank you for your answer.
I am indeed aware of this document, and I planned to use it for my AWS account (especially for the prerequisites).
But since I found 0 experience sharing on this in the documentation / blogs (which is quite unusual), I had a doubt on the feasibility.
If you confirm that this kind of installation is "transparent" from SAP's point of view, I guess we will go for it.
Thank you.
Thomas
