Sap enable now client tools license for desktop tools

Hi Experts,

Do SAP ENow producer or instant producer client desktop tools require separate license ?

How we consider content creator /author license agreements for SAP enable now producers desktoptool or on premise ENOW manager integrated for s4 web assistant?

Please share any reference document in this area on price and license .

The on-premise edition has separate Consumer and Creator licenses, at different costs. The cloud edition only has one type of license. A Creator license covers all components - Producer, Manager, Instant Producer, creation via Web Assistant... There's no breakdown by component used.

You can find information for cloud pricing on store.sap.com and search for SAP Enable Now, but on-prem is a bit more complex so I'd suggest contacting your SAP CEE; they'll be more than happy to talk to you about it.

I assume that you are referencing the On Premise version of Enable Now because licensing of the On Premise version and the Cloud version are different.

There are two license types for the On Premise version of Enable Now, an authoring license and a consumption license. The authoring license allows users to use Producer to development content and the consumption version allows the use of Manager, Instant Producer and Desktop Assistant. There is no special requirement to license the use of Instant Producer, other than the user has an active consumption license.

The same thing applies for the use of Web Assistant. There is no separate license to use Web Assistant but users accessing customer-specific content from Manager, must have a valid consumption license. That is, they must have an active user record in Enable Now and this will consume one consumption license.

Unfortunately, pricing for these licenses varies by a whole range of factors so please discuss licensing questions with your SAP account team.
