Hi all,

My company is doing changes with the installation of Oracle Java in our machines. Hence, I am wondering if the usage of SAP Enable Now Producer, Instant Producer and Desktop Assistant required users to have Oracle Java installed in their machine?

Cloud, no. On-prem requires Java Access Bridge. See the System Requirements document for more info.

Java Access Bridge is only required for recording Java native applications. For the rest of apps you can forget about it.

hi, thanks for replying. However, I checked the document and found one statement: "To run the cloud applications, a local installation of Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 8 or higher is required." under the chapter 5.....

What document are you looking in? I checked the (2211) System Requirements On Premise Edition and System Requirements Cloud Edition, and they only say what Anton and I have mentioned. I can't find the text you reference. But either way, I guess you have an answer.

Hi Dirk, thanks for highlighting the document version. I was looking in the 1902 version as it is the first one pop up on google search. I can see the requirements now in the 2211 version. Thanks again!
