SAP E-Recruitment Implementation Sequence

Dear Experts,

Now I am starting E-Recruitment Implementation in the landscape. I have few doubts in starting phase to proceed further.

After my search i came to know that, having Standalone E-Recruitment system is the best option for setting up E-Recruitment System.

Now i want to know that What are all the list of Software needs to be install to setup a complete E-Recruitment Landscape.

Below are my understanding on the same, please correct me if i am wrong.

1. Install SAP Netweaver ABAP with addon E-Recruitment package.

2. Install SAP Netweaver Java with E-Recruitment BP's

3. Install Trex search engine  standalone.

4. Integrate E-Recruitment to ECC HR System

Yes ADS is already configured in EP, should i configure ADS again for E-recruitment or i can use the existing ADS which already active in Enterprise Portal.?

for E-recruitment Implementation sequence which i mentioned in above post is correct?

i missed something here..?  And do we need separate NW Java required for E-recruitment or should i use the existing EP system. ?

Hi Shafir,

I believe that you could use the same ADS as long as you configure the right RFC. 

Can you explain a bit more how should look like your system landscape ?

I believe you should have the following sequence for an e-rec in a standonle environement (whatever the front end separated of the backend e-rec)

1 - install sap netweaver with e-rec addon

2 - upgrade sap erp with e-rec addon

3 - install sap netweaver java (if you don't have it yet)

4 - install ADS / TREX / XI (not required but useful for integration)

5 - configuration of e-rec / sap erp

6 - install configure dispatcher/proxy/dmz/firewall (if needed)

Thanks for your reply.

Present landscape is SAP ECC (EHP7) HR system and NW EP 7.4.   Now we are planning to have E-Rec as standalone.

can you also please clarify my below doubts

3 -  install sap Netweaver java (if you don't have it yet)

We have NW EP 7.4 is existing landscape, do we still need to install NW Java, and which version is required.  and what all the E-Rec BP's that i should deploy.

4 - install ADS / TREX / XI (not required but useful for integration)

for ADS i can use existing setup and Trex i can install in each instance (Dev/Qa/Prd), is it mandatory to install SAP XI (PI)

5 - configuration of e-rec / sap erp

Do we have any SAP standard document for this config. of e-rec / sap erp, since i am unable to find in service market place for E-rec documents.  If yes can you please share the

6 - install configure dispatcher/proxy/dmz/firewall (if needed)

Webdispatcher is required for only NW java stack correct?
