Hello all,
I have some questions regarding the SAP Companion.
To be able to call the content from Enable Now in the SAP Companion (e.g. to view a guided tour in SuccessFactors), each individual user must be stored as a user in Enable Now, correct?
What is the best practice to create a lot of users at once in SAP Enable Now? Via Excel import?
However, after an Excel import, the users do not get a "welcome mail" with their login data in the SAP Enable Now cloud version. Therefore, what is the best practice to create many users at once and that everyone receives an email with their login details?
Best regards,
Nele

(1) Correct, they need an ID in SAP Enable Now
(2) I really would not recommend the creation of manual users for SAP Companion. You really want to use Single Sign-On (SSO), otherwise users will be prompted to log on to SAP Enable Now after they have logged on to the application, which will (a) be confusing as they probably don't know what they are logging on to, and (b) it just puts another barrier in the way of users getting to the help, which will discourage them from using it. With SSO you can have IDs created automatically, and invisibly to users.
(3) If you have SSO, you don't need to worry about users receiving a notification. But otherwise yes, you are correct - there is no email notification to users with Excel uploads (several people have asked for this, though, so it may be worth creating a Customer Influence Request). The only way they get a notification is if the IDs are created manually, one at a time. Of course, with a little effort you can probably write an Excel macro that will go through the file and send an email to each person in it, with their ID/password (also in the file, along with their email...).
