Hello Experts,
I have created custom content using Producer within SAP Enable Now for SAP IBP related topics.
This content is both related to IBP Excel and Fiori. However, when I launch SAP companion using the Help icon, neither the standard content nor the custom content is visible in Excel or Fiori.
The content is not even searchable.
I have tried to do various steps which I am reproducing below:
"
Initially checked the settings showing in the Developer tools – SEN & SEN2 = null and WBP had URLs
Checked that - ServiceLayerVersion = EXT

Looked in Wiki and here is what it said about WPB2, which in effect meant that having a value there may not mean much when SEN2 is “null”

tried several combinations of URLs in SEN2 :
• including the one which is in the screenshot at the top WPB2,
• One off the Workarea which has got the index.htm etc included
• With SEN = null
o With SEN pointing at standard content
• Etc etc
But nothing seemed to work
I have also checked that SAP Companion is pointing to my training Workarea, using learningAppBackendURL parameter, which should specify https://companyname.enable-now.cloud.sap/
Also, learningAppWorkspace, is set to c6mgfe5l2z.
"
Please could you advise how to resolve this as I then need to do the same for other FIORI based SAP modules which we are using - SAP MDG, TM, EWM etc.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Gurpreet,
If you are only displaying standard SAP content, there is no need for SSO. If you are displaying modified standard SAP content or content that your organization has created, that content must be housed in Enable Now Manager and all users accessing that content must be authenticated. SAP Companion will display a manual login dialogue box and ask users to log in if SSO is not working and this will require the users to remember a separate SAP Enable Now user ID and password. My experience is this is very confusing for users and so you are definitely better off setting up SSO. If your organization does not have an IDP to perform the authentication, you can use SAP IAS to do that, i.e. load the user details into IAS and use it as the IDP. Your organization will automatically gain access to IAS with their Enable Now Cloud subscription.

Thank you Shane, I understand and we already have SSO for SAP EN. My question was more around do we need SSO for SAP IBP as a mandatory requirement for this to work.
From your response, I can infer that it is not, so I am trying to check and complete the steps in the guide. I will come back with the update.
Best regards
Gurpreet
Hi Gurpreet,
Please take a look at the SAP Companion Integration Guide for details about turning on SAP Companion in SAP IBP. The specific configuration instructions are in the section called Setup of SAP Companion for SAP S/4HANA Cloud and Similar Systems, however, you should also read the Content Scenarios, Initial Setup, and Features and Configuration.
If you go through these details and are still having issues, please post the specific parameters that you have configured, along with the value of each parameter.
Regards
Shane
