Hello Community!
I have client who has asked to disable the What's New banner. I've been through the integration guide and I can't find the parameter that will enable the banner to be disabled.
Can someone provide the parameter?
Thanks
Vanessa
Thanks Shane for your prompt response.
The client is not actually using the What's New functionality so I'm not sure why the banner is even appearing. I've provided a screenshot of what is appearing every time a person opens SuccessFactors.
Any ideas on what can be done to stop this appearing?
Thanks
Vanessa

If they have not created What’s New content, the reason that the banner is appearing is because they have configured SAP Companion to show their content and the standard SAP content. In this case, an author must go into editing mode in Companion, open the What’s New tab and hide all the standard What’s New content. Then republish that content and the banner will disappear.
Normally, this What's New banner must appear only once. SAP Companion "remembers" if the What's New message was shown, and writes this information into the local browser storage. Probably, it can't do it, or the browser history and all temp files are being deleted, according to the browser security policy.
Hi Vanessa,
If the customer doesn't want to use What's New at all, just don't create any What's New content.
If the customer does want to use What's New but doesn't want the banner to display, they just want the carousel to open automatically without showing the banner, whatsNewDirect=true.
Regards
Shane
