Hi,
This is more of an improvent idea then it is a question.
I'm working on a new commission model and am facing a problem..
Let's say we have a team of 3 sales agents and a manager. The sales agents are compensated on their own performance, the manager is compensated on team performance. This roll-up relationship is already pre-build into the system based on the manager field in the Position. Great!
Now let's say we Incentivise the team to meet a shared target, if they meet this target they all get an extra something. In order to implement such an incentive we need to create a roll-down relationship from manager to it's subordinates. This is all possible but is a pain to maintain while all you really need is already present in the Position.

Hi, Niels,
Interesting challenge. It sounds like you'e looking for a solution other than creating a custom relationship type that's basically an upside-down version of the Reporting Hierarchy. Yes, other than to have an automated process to extract and reload the relationships, this would be a good suggestion for the product team. Thanks for putting this out there.
