Role Based Permissions & proxy function for Delegate PM forms 2H/2024 release

Hello Everyone-

As of now I have created a Permission role called- "Performance Reviewer (Delegation)" This role is assigned to Managers (Granted Population) & another Target Population ( Managers1)- Because my requirement is any manager should be able to delegate PM form to any other manager. So i created a group with few  managers

Also I created below permissions roles

1- "Performance Reviewer (Delegation)- Admin"- Granted population is Admins & Target Population is Managers1 Group

2- Delegator-Delegate Relationship- This is granted to Managers1 and Target Population is direct reportees.

Please advice if the above setup is correct?

Also when I am proxying as superadmin to a Manager ,  I am unable to find Delegate tab under settings. Is this the standard behaviour of this new feature.

Hi Karthik, We are also having the same issue. Ideally, the permissions should be set up as below:

Delegation Management Permission (delegators)

e.g. Admin -> Managers

Delegator-Delegatee Relationship -> (delegatees)
e.g. Managers - Managers

Delegator-Employee Relationship (Subject User of the form to be delegated)
e.g. HR Admin - all
e.g. Managers - Direct Reports

For the first two permission roles wherein the target population is Managers, the question is how can we group all of them together as usually they cannot be grouped using a people pool filter as they are random managers assigned to employees. Did you group your managers manually?

Proxy doesn't work for testing the PM Delegation feature.  I had to test it in my test environment using basic authenticaion (not SSO) to find the delegation section for managers and to accept delegation as a "delegatee" testing.

I am currently trying to figure out how they are going to help us administer this brand new feature once they turn off the support for basic authentication for us.... SF experts could weigh in that would be amazing
