Requisition - Hiring Manager - Search doesn't find any Hiring Manager

Hello,

we have SAP E-Recruiting running on the same system and client as SAP ERP.

We are on Ehp5 and TREX 7.10.40.

I am logged on as a Recruiter and creating a Requisition.

When I do a search to find the ‘Hiring Manager’, the message ‘No search results found’ comes up. There are no entries in SLG1 after I execute this search.

I have created NA for all the personnel numbers in the system (using HRALXSYNC) – the Internal Candidates column still shows the red
icon, but BP, CP and NA have been created – IT0105 / 0010 has been maintained and are unique.

I am looking for some ideas about how I can find out what might be missing – I have read lots and lots of posts from SCN and lots and lots of OSS Notes, but can’t really figure out what is still missing.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Hello,

You need to make sure below entries are in table V_T77RCF_SPT_AF,

Type     information Category           Field              Type

INT_CAND CANDIDATE_ADDITIONAL_DATA      ADVANCED_CAND_NAME F
INT_CAND CANDIDATE_ADDITIONAL_DATA      CAND_PERNR                   F
INT_CAND CANDIDATE_ADDITIONAL_DATA      CAND_TYPE                      E
INT_CAND CANDIDATE_ADDITIONAL_DATA      CLASSIFICATION               E
INT_CAND CANDIDATE_ADDITIONAL_DATA      FULLNAME                        F
INT_CAND CANDIDATE_ADDITIONAL_DATA      FULLNAME_USER              B
INT_CAND CANDIDATE_ADDITIONAL_DATA      IS_MANAGER                    E
INT_CAND CANDIDATE_ADDITIONAL_DATA      IS_RECRUITER                  E
INT_CAND CANDIDATE_ADDITIONAL_DATA      LAST_LOGON_DATE          E
INT_CAND CANDIDATE_ADDITIONAL_DATA      USERNAME                       F

Then run the full index for candidate. (program COM_SE_DISPATCHER, business object ERC_CAND)

Thanks David - done - I checked SLG1 and I can see lots of errors : (

Basically it is:

Error when determining the attribute values for HR object 01NA50001141

The incorrect HR object has the key 01NA50001141

The error occurred in program CL_HRRCF_SES_BUSOBJ_FROM_SPTYPCM00Y line 3

The error occurred in program CL_HRRCF_SES_BUSOBJ_CAND_SPT==CM005 line 104

The error occurred in program CL_HRRCF_CANDIDATE_ADMIN_BL===CM012 line 37

I only have 11 employees hired, i.e. only 11 NA as well. I noticed that the log does not report errors for 2 of my NA - I am looking further but I can't see what is different between these 2 NA and the others. I know I have assigned IT0105 /0010 to only 4 of them (unique).

Any other thoughts? Will have a look in SCN as well...

Thanks again for your help.

hi Cristiana

The SLG1 log refers to data missing from infotype 5102, normally the report HRALXSYNC can fix it. I think the proposal solution in note 1617853 can help you. But there may be a situation that the report takes long time or never end in Dialog, in this case, the note 1412609 may help you.

Thanks again David.

- I deleted all NA,

- created the IT0105 / 0010 using unique email addresses for all my 11 employees,

- deleted the ERC_CAND index,

- created the index again (using COM_SE_DISPATCHER),

- executed report HRALXSYNC - still got the red flag on Internal Candidates

- all my 11 NA were created

- IT5102 created for all 11

- SLG1 has 9 "Error when determining the attribute values for HR object 01NA50001141"

My question is: what data might be missing from IT5102? I am wondering if, given that IT5102 was created (in SAP ERP), I need to apply note 1617853? This note says that error message "No status information available for object &1" - I am not getting this message in SLG1.

Hello,

ok, after lots of time, I think I have fixed the NA issues I was having before, i.e. SLG1 no longer shows the message "Error when determining the attribute values for HR object 01NA50001141".

That doesn't mean my problem is solved! I still cannot find any Hiring Managers when I create the Requisition - I have tried using both options 'Find Employee' and 'Find Manager'.

When I execute report COM_SE_SEARCH_TEST for Business Object 'ERC_CAND', Object Type 'NA', Action 'Search (Max 20 Hits)' I get the following for each of my Employees/Internal Candidates (I am just posting one of the entries here) - I wonder if you can see any piece of information/attribute missing that could be contributing for the fact that I can't find a Hiring Manager?

All the NA have IT5012 and IT5110.

Hello Christiana,

I see that the value 'is_manager' is empty for the example employee above. The hiring manager and recruiter F4 search help only recognizes employees who are already assigned to at least one requisition as recruiter/hiring manager.

So just take the search help 'find employee' and assign the employee as hiring manager. In the next requisition F4 search you will find this one then also in the 'find manager' search help.

Remark: That behavior is also explained on the wiki page 'http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/x/XYHYDw'.

Regards

Nicole
