Reporting on turnover in SuccessFactors Employee Central

We have EC and position data enabled and are looking for a report that will show us turn over rate based on positions. Does anyone have expereince createing a report like this out of Report Center?

Hi,

Similar response to Jasper above, the Key Figure one is a great start, but you can also use Story Reporting to create Attrition Rates and various other metrics, you'd just need to get the key data into some widgets in a Story then a few calculations to finish it off.

Did you try to download one of the standard stories for that purpose (and correct it as it always starts with errors due to datamodel differences)?

The Key Figure Dashboard for instance by default has the basic ingredient (Leavers) for the calculation (leavers and actives), that one would just require an additional calculated column to get to an actual rate (if you want to get there as quick as possible).

I personally prefer creating an actual graph splitting out internal and external terminations as well (but you could also go even deeper with voluntary vs. involunatry) ratios.

There's also a blog about turnover analysis (I don't believe it fully addresses the actual rate), but it gives some info into that direction:

In Canvas/Ord/Table/Tile it's close to impossible to do the real calculation for attrition rate, at best you can get the datasets to ensure in Excel you can calculate the attrition rate.

People Analytics (stories) is just an upgrade (so technically it should be part of your license already) and as of end of 2025 it will likely replace what you have right now then. It may be worth it to do the upgrade as with stories you can at least get the attrition rate.
