Remove the permission to Insert New Record via history while retaining the Edit (pencil) Icon

Hello everyone,

I just want to ask if there's a chance that the edit icon (pencil) will still be visible in the portlet but there's no permission for the user to insert new record?

@angelosuano - Yes, it is absolutely possible to grant pencil rights without allowing the insert option. We follow a similar approach at my company.

To achieve this, you’ll need to update the permission roles for each relevant portlet by setting the "Actions" under Employee Central Effective Dated Entities to View Current and View History only. This configuration allows users to view and edit existing entries without being able to insert new ones.
