rehire inactive employee not working

Hello,

Given that I want to change an employee status from inactive to active and I have enabled all possible rehire inactive employees in manage permission roles, why when I choose add new employee it says user already exists in the system?

Hi Marko,

Employee needs to be terminated (inactive) first in the system as to rehire.

Kindly check some data is wrong of the employee (could even be on organization or position level).

Hello Marko ,

Kindly check the termination record in employment details , and the date of rehire should be after that.

Kindly check and try rehiring with accept match.

when I change employees department division or position and wf approver approves the change the employee becomes inactive, even though I have set the employee status " no selection" as event reason is a position change or job change.
